When reporting with other utilities you have to know exactly what you’re looking for before you can even begin the reporting process. With Active Directory Reports we take the difficult LDAP queries and we make them into reports so that you don’t have to focus on getting things moving. Instead you can focus on the granularity of what pre-defined LDAP fields you require for your reporting needs. Everything has been done for you.
GROUPS
There are 16 pre-defined group reports. Like user reports each group report can be filtered by Created date/time, Changed date/time and can be limited by maximum number of records to load.
Using membership settings any group report can be loaded with several types of group members. User can choose to load:
- Load direct members only
- Load direct members including nested members
- Include / Exclude nested group names
- Include / Exclude primary membership
Group members can be loaded with all attributes or only DistinguishedName attribute.
‘Selected Group Properties’ window displays the detailed information about selected group including
General Group Information, members and LDAP Attributes.
ORGANIZATIONAL UNITS
Organizational Units consist of 10 pre-defined reports. User and group reports OU reports can filtered by Created date/time, Changed date/time and can be limited by maximum number of records to load. Using the “Load members” option user can load any OU report with OU members.
‘Selected OU Properties’ window displays the detailed information about selected OU including General OU Information, members and LDAP Attributes.
COMPUTERS
AD Reports also provides 19 pre-defined computer reports that can be filtered by Created date/time, changed date/time and can be limited by maximum number of records to load with displaying detailed information about any selected computer.
GPO
GPO reports have 12 pre-defined reports that could be filtered as well by Created date/time, changed date/time and can be limited by maximum number of records to load. “Load Linked Object” option allows users to load GPO linked objects.

Hi, I notice it’s possible to browse the extension attributes from the LDAP assocaiated with AD objects in AD reports, but not to export them along with the data (i.e. the columns can’t be selected for export)
Any chance of adding these additional values to the export in release in the near future?
Tony,
Thanks for the comment. You are absolutely right that we need this in place. As of this writing, Igor and I are busily working on a new release. This new release makes for a more intuitive interface. Right after we handle this release, we have queued up a generic wizard tool that will be built into AD Reports. This wizard will allow the reporting engine to exactly what you are requesting here. My apologies for the delay in responding and in implementing this request.
Kind Regards,
Chris
