Troubleshooting
First, make sure you have the latest version downloaded. The registration process changed after version 4.3.1.3 and you will not be able to register a new trial registration on older versions of this product.

This usually happens if you are trying to register from the same folder where the application is using already registered key.
Solution:
- 1. Save the key from the email to your desktop.
- 2. Register the key via the "Help"->"Register" AD Reports window interface.
2. Permissions issue
If you are having troubles registering the product chances are you are dealing with a permissions issue. Please follow the following steps in order to solve the issue.Steps for Checking .Net 2.0 Runtime Permissions
- 1. First exit the AD Reports application.
- 2. Select the following from your "Windows Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "Administrative Tools" -> ".Net Framework 2.0 configuration"
- 3. The .Net Framework 2.0 configuration applet will start.
- 4. Navigate within the tree as follows: ".Net Framework 2.0 configuration" -> "My Computer" -> "Runtime Security Policy"
- 5. Select "Adjust Zone Security"
- 6. Select "Make changes for the current user only"
- 7. Click on Next
- 8. Make sure that the "Full Trust" is selected for the My Computer settings. This essentially allows the .Net CLR Application to communicate with the registry.

- 9. Click on Next
- 10. Try running and re-registering Active Directory Reports.
- * Do you have administrator rights on this computer? You must have the ability to install, execute and read/write files.
- * Does the .Net runtime have the appropriate permissions for file access? The registration process needs to write the files into the current directory.
