Pin Reports to Favorites for One-Click Access
Stop digging through the report tree to find the same five reports you run every day. Right-click any built-in report and pin it to a brand-new ★ Favorites group at the top of the tree. Favorites are saved per domain and persist across restarts.
corp.example.com are separate
from acme.local. Switching domains in the AD Forest tree instantly swaps the Favorites
contents — you never see a stale list from a different environment.
Right-Click → ★ Add to Favorites
Find any built-in report in the report tree (Users, Groups, Computers, OUs, GPOs, Azure, etc.). Right-click the report and choose ★ Add to Favorites.
The report instantly appears in a new ★ Favorites group at the very top of that category's tree — no menu diving, no settings dialog. The original entry stays where it is so you can find it the old way too.
Find Your ★ Favorites Group
The ★ Favorites group sits at the very top of the relevant category tree (Users category if it's a user report, Computers if it's a computer report, etc.). Double-click the favorited entry to run it — same behavior as running the original.
Remove from Favorites
Right-click any favorited report and choose ★ Remove from Favorites. Same menu, opposite direction. It works whether you click the original report in its category or the copy that lives in the ★ Favorites group.
Persistence and Stale-Safety
- Persistent across restarts. Favorites are saved per domain in your AD Reports profile and survive restarts of the application or the Windows Scheduler Service.
- Stale-safe. If a report you favorited gets renamed or removed in a future update, the favorites entry is silently skipped on tree build — no crash, no error popup.
- Domain-scoped. Each AD Forest domain has its own Favorites list. Switching domains swaps the list automatically.
