How to Apply LDAP Filter to Other Reports

Save an LDAP Filter

If you need to apply an LDAP filter created in one report to other reports, follow these steps:

1. Select the report where you want to create the LDAP filter.
2. Click Customize Report.
3. Navigate to the LDAP Filter page.
4. Create the LDAP filter using the built-in filter builder.
5. Click the Save to File button to save the filter for future use.
6. Close the report wizard.

Load and Apply the Filter

To apply the saved LDAP filter to another report, follow these steps:

1. Select the other report where you want to apply the filter.
2. Click Customize Report.
3. Navigate to the LDAP Filter page.
4. Click the Load from File button to load the previously saved filter. The LDAP filter will appear in the filter builder area.
5. Click the save button (Save for This Domain or Save for All Domains, depending on the report) to apply the filter.

Apply to Many Reports at Once Improved in 7.6

To copy a filter to every report of the same type in one go, open the Apply to Other Reports page in Customize Report, check Apply LDAP Filter Settings (and any other settings you want to copy — attributes, search root and scope, membership), then click Apply.

• Predefined reports of that type are always updated; Apply to Current Domain Only or Apply to All Domains decides where.
• Check Include custom reports to update your custom reports of that type as well. A custom report keeps its own name, title, dates and domains — one saved for All Domains is updated everywhere it exists, one saved for a single domain only there.
• The confirmation tells you how many predefined and how many custom reports are about to change.
